On Friday during D.E.A.R. Time (Drop Everything and Read), we heard a ghoulish story about three boy scouts who went on a boat trip and got lost... in time!

Who was Christopher Columbus?


He is considered the first European person to have discovered the Americas in 1492. He came to America on three ships: the Santa Maria, the Pinta, and the Nina.


Although he has long been credited for "discovering" America, the Native Americans were here long before he and the Spaniards arrived.

Math Video Lesson 10/6

This week we got a visit from McGruff and the child safety/identification and education program. Many of us participated in the McGruff Child Safe ID cards, and counselors spoke to us about internet safety and other topics. We also viewed a safety education video.
